M-1 Challenge XXV takes place from inside the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia and will stream live on MMA Spot (www.mmaspot.net) on April 28 at 11 a.m. ET.
Two championship bouts top the card with Shamil Zavurov (19-1) defending his welterweight belt against late replacement Sengoku veteran Yasubey Enomoto (6-2), and “The Ultimate Fighter” finalist Vinny Magalhaes (7-5) challenging Russia’s own first-ever MMA reality star, "M-1 Fighter" Viktor Nemkov (10-2) as they battle for the vacant light heavyweight title.
“M-1 Challenge XXV is going to showcase incredible bouts featuring credible rising stars. From Zavurov versus Enomoto to Magalhaes and Nemkov, fans can expect few decisions in favor of fighters electing to control their own destinies inside the ring. This card is looking to be one of our best to date,” stated M-1 Global Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan.
Also on the card, former UFC fighter Luigi "The Italian Tank" Fioravanti (22-8) puts his five-fight win streak on the line against long-time M-1 veteran Andrei Semenov (29-9-2) in Semenov’s return from a nearly three-year layoff.
