Gerald 'Hurricane' Harris Continues To Impress
posted by J. Andrew Yount
Former TUF 7 cast member Gerald ‘Hurricane’ Harris has been on a tear since his time on The Ultimate Fighter. Known mostly for his wrestling, Harris has steadily been improving his grappling. He recently took first place at the NAGA Arnold Classic in Ohio. He hasn’t had an official loss since losing to Benji Radach in the IFL back in 2007. Since then, he’s reeled off six straight victories all by stoppages.
This past Saturday Harris stopped David Knight via knockout at 1:20 of the first round. Knight was a last minute replacement on the card, but was likely a step up for from his original scheduled opponent, Tramain Smith. The fight card, C3
Fights at Paradise 7 Clans Casino in Red Rock, Oklahoma, saw Harris competing as the Main Event.
Harris is hopeful to one day get another chance to star in the Octagon again. Until that call comes, he will continue to develop his techniques, helped out by his good friend Quinton Jackson and others.
