Bellator Adds Adam Schindler To Featherweight Summer Series Tournament

Strikeforce and Bellator veteran Adam Schindler joins the Bellator featherweight tournament this summer, according to an announcement from the promotion earlier today. The eight-man, three-event competition is scheduled to begin at Bellator 46, June 25, and will broadcast live on MTV2 from the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fla. Additional tournament fighter announcements are expected soon.

One Championship Defended, Another Newly Crowned At M-1 Challenge XXV

“M-1 Challenge XXV: Zavurov vs. Enomoto” concluded earlier today with two championship belts being awarded. At the top of the card, Welterweight Champion Shamil Zavurov held onto his title in a tough-fought five round affair, defeating challenger Yasubey Enomoto by unanimous decision. In the co-main event, Brazilian light heavyweight Vinny Magalhaes battled Russian fighter Viktor Nemkov in a gritty and action-packed contest where each fighter left it all in the ring.

Matt Hughes vs. Diego Sanchez On Tap For The Fall

Just days after word surfaced that UFC Hall of Fame fighter Royce Gracie was calling for a rematch with former welterweight champion Matt Hughes, the UFC has announced that Diego Sanchez is up next for Hughes. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout, but no other details are known at this time except that the bout will take place sometime in the fall.

All Fighters Make Weight, M-1 Challenge XXV Set To Stream Live On April 28

The weigh-in for M-1 Global’s “M-1 Challenge XXV: Zavurov vs. Enomoto” concluded earlier today with all participants making weight. M-1 Challenge XXV takes place from inside the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia and will stream live on MMA Spot (www.mmaspot.net) on April 28 at 11 a.m. ET. Two championship bouts top the card with Zavurov vs. Enomoto at welterweight, and Magalhaes vs. Nemkov at light heavyweight.

UFC 133 Adds Evans vs. Davis, Franklin vs. Nogueira

The UFC has announced two pivotal light heavyweight fights for UFC 133 that could have major implications in the 205 pound title picture. With Jon Jones not able to compete, current number one contender Rashad Evans has agreed to face up-and-comer Phil Davis. In addition, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is slated to face Rich Franklin. UFC 133 is expected to take place in Philadelphia, Penn., on August 6.

Powerful Performances Send Hale And M’Pumbu To Bellator Tournament Finals

The results are in for Bellator 42 which took place yesterday from the Lucky Star Casino in Concho, Okla. In front of a sold out crowd, and a live television audience, French fighter Christian “Tonton” M’Pumbu faced an undefeated Tim Carpenter, and former heavyweight D.J. "Da Protege" Linderman met the impressive Richard “Rare Breed” Hale, where all four fighters fought for two coveted slots in the light heavyweight tournament finals.

WEF 46 Recap, Results & Photos

Once again Jamie Levine put together another amazing WEF fight card together. This time for the fans at University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla. The evening was filled with devastating knockouts, submissions and an amazing championship fight. The main event featured Seth Petruzelli in a light heavyweight bout that showed "The Silverback" still has plenty left in him. A battle between two up-and-coming heavyweight prospects showcased Walt Harris and Chris Bennett, who move like fighters half their size. In what would be the fight of the night, Gert Kocani took on Robert "R.J." Goodridge for the lightweight championship in a back-and-forth war that saw neither man give an inch as they fought to the final bell.
