Eight rounds have not been enough to settle the score between UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and number one contender Gray Maynard. The UFC again brings a star-studded lineup to New Jersey featuring must-see matchups in every division. Back in 2007, in the build-up to Dan Henderson’s title unification fight with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, one of the trainers interviewed for the UFC preview show described Dan Henderson as a “modern day cowboy.” Upon reflection, perhaps there is no better way to describe this long-time elite fighter. One would be hard-pressed to find a more well respected older fighter in the game today than the former multi-division world champion.

Stand Up Promotions' "National Muay Thai Championship 2011" delivered another amazing night of Muay Thai fights at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles on March 5. The fight card contained eight amateur fights and three professional fights, including a WBC interim title bout, which made for an all star night of fights as the venue was packed and every seat was filled. A crowd of more than 7,000 turned out at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio to witness “Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson,” the most recent mixed martial arts event to take place in conjunction with the annual Arnold Sports Festival. Two titles were on the line, with one champion retaining after securing a comeback submission, and with another falling to the devastating right hand of Dan Henderson.

Strikeforce will look to continue an incredible stream of momentum as it makes its first appearance in Ohio this weekend at Nationwide Arena in conjunction with the annual Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus. Zuffa-branded events had held the annual date for the last four years, but the rival organization jumped on the opportunity to promote fights in one of the country’s biggest hotbeds of MMA.

M-1 Challenge XXIII kicks off the promotion’s year and sets an incredibly high bar for what’s to come for the remainder of 2011 from overseas and in the USA. Two title tilts, clarity in the light heavyweight (205 pounds) contention picture and multiple striker’s duels will make this event extremely difficult for the M-1 brass to award the event’s fight, submission and knockout of the night awards. The UFC made its way to the Bluegrass State for the first time, as “UFC on Versus” took place at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The UFC makes its debut in the Bluegrass State at the KFC Yum! Center tonight, with the four-fight main card airing on Versus and two prelim fights streamed live on Facebook. Diego Sanchez and Martin Kampmann have both been pretty quiet outside of the cage leading up to this fight, as is the modus operandi for both. Other than Sanchez declaring that he will no longer be called “Nightmare” and vowing to stay at welterweight for the time being, both fighters have stayed silent in favor of training to remain relevant in the UFC welterweight division.

Bellator Fighting Championships’ highly anticipated fourth season will premiere this Saturday, March 5, live on MTV2 beginning at 9pm ET/PT from the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, Calif.  Bellator 35 will feature the quarterfinal pairings in the Season 4 Welterweight Tournament, including: Rick Hawn vs. Jim Wallhead, Jay Hieron vs. Anthony Lapsley, Chris Lozano vs. Lyman Good and Brent Weedman vs. Dan Hornbuckle.  A Spanish-language telecast will air on MTV Tr3s on Sunday, March 6, at 8pm ET/PT.
