· Bellator Returns To Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Casino
Bellator Fighting Championships announced today that they will be returning to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla., the venue that hosted the promotion’s mixed martial arts tournament debut on April 3, 2009 to open Bellator’s first season. Following several successful performances at the Seminole Hard Rock for Bellator since then, the upcoming return is the result of a newly signed multi-year agreement with Florida’s Redline Media Group.
Continuing their on-going partnership with RMG, Bellator has committed to several forthcoming nationally televised events in conjunction with MTV2.
Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney voiced his approval and outlined the organization's long-term ambitions. “The Seminole Hard Rock has been part of the Bellator brand since our very first show, and I’m thrilled that we will be producing a series of live, primetime Bellator events on MTV2 at the Seminole Hard Rock in 2011 and beyond,” he stated.
At the time of the announcement, Bellator unveiled three prospective dates already scheduled for future shows. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will present the inaugural competition of Bellator’s “2011 Summer Series,” Bellator 46 on June 25—as well as two events during season five, set for September 17 and November 19.
Unique in the world of MMA, Bellator brings a format of world-class fighting to fans with a 12-week, eight-man tournament season featuring some of the most dynamic fighters in the world, including Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard, 2008 Olympian and Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez, Featherweight Champion Joe Warren, and Women’s World Champion Zoila Frausto.
