· MMA Spot Live Video Coverage Of “UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields”
As with past UFC events, MMA Spot will be bringing our readers coverage of press conferences, weigh-in events, post-fight press conferences, exclusive video, and behind-the-scenes moments leading right up to "UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields." The event takes place on April 30 from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, and will be broadcast via pay-per-view at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. The main event of the evening features a long awaited welterweight title contest between Jake Shields and Georges St-Pierre. In addition to coverage of the press conferences and weigh-ins, watch exclusive video related to "UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields."
Also scheduled on the card will be the UFC debut of featherweight champion Jose Aldo Jr. He will be defending his title against Mark Hominick. Also scheduled for the televised portion of the pay-per-view will be a two light heavyweight contests. Former 205-pound champions Randy Couture and Lyoto Machida will meet in a pivitol contest for both men, and Vladimir Matyushenko meets Jason Brilz. Rounding out the main event card will be a lightweight bout, with potential title implications, between former WEC champion Ben Henderson and Mark Bocek.
The undercard event features Nate Diaz facing Rory MacDonald, and Jake Ellenberger taking on Sean Pierson. Those two bouts are scheduled to be televised on Spike TV in the lead up to the pay-per-view telecast. Also highlighted on the preliminary card will be Daniel Roberts, Kyle Watson, Pablo Garza, Jason MacDonald, and Charlie Valencia.
