In the buildup to M-1 Global’s “M-1 Challenge XXVI: Guram vs. Bennett” the promotion has announced a “viral contest” beginning May 19 and running through the day of the event, July 8. By participating via Facebook, fans have the opportunity to win a variety of prizes including t-shirts, autographed event posters and gloves, and ringside tickets to the event.

"The fact that Guram is headlining M-1 Challenge XXVI with his second title defense against Pat Bennett on July 8 has only compounded his rise in popularity,” M-1 Global’s Director of Operations Evgeni Kogan stated. “M-1 will do everything it can to help promote the fighters and the event and this contest is a great way to help the fan base learn more about this aspiring prospect.”

At the top of the card, undefeated Georgian-Ukranian fighter Guram Gugenishvili defends his heavyweight title against Team BombSquad fighter, American wrestler Pat Bennet. In the co-main event Jose “The People’s Champ” Figueroa faces German contender Daniel Weichel in a championship showdown.

M-1 Challenge XXVI is scheduled for July 8 and expected to air live on Showtime.

The official rules for the contest are below:

  • How: fans must "like" the M-1 and Guram facebook fan pages and change their facebook profile picture to the "Guram is Coming" event picture. The event poster must stay up until July 9.
  • When: the contest runs from Thursday May 19 to Saturday July 9
  • What: weekly prize winners will be selected at random and announced on Saturday July 9.
  • Prizes: M-1 Challenge XXVI event t-shirts, signed event posters, signed Guram gloves and ringside tickets to the July 8 event.
