· Tyron Glover vs. Robert Washington Set For “MFC 28: Supremacy”
Two of the sport's rising lightweight stars will battle in a featured fight at "MFC 28: Supremacy" in February. Robert Washington (9-1) will take on fellow MFC signee Tyrone Glover (5-0) during the organization's February 25 event at the River Cree Casino in Edmonton, Alberta.
Glover, who trains at The Grudge Training Center in Denver, recently returned to the sport after taking a five-year hiatus to finish his law degree. The 31-year-old owns a victory over veteran fighter Din Thomas and signed a new deal with MFC late in 2010.
Washington, a native of East Saint Louis, is a member of The H.I.T. Squad who has evolved into a dangerous knockout artist. Five of his wins have come via knockout, and "The Beast" has been one of the sport's hottest prospects for years.
MFC 28 will be headlined by a light heavyweight championship fight between Canadians Ryan Jimmo and Dwayne Lewis. The two will battle for the right to be called one of Canada's top fighters. Canadian Kajan Johnson will also be in action against "The Ultimate Fighter 9" veteran Richie Whitson, and UFC veterans Rodney Wallace and Razak Al-Hassan will face off in a light heavyweight tilt.
