Edmonton’s Aggression MMA announced their next event, “AMMA 7: Confrontation,” set to take place June 10 from the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Headlining the fight card are two top Canadian welterweights as MFC and The Fight Club veteran Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford faces the rising Nick “Juggernaut” Hinchliffe. The full fight card will be announced shortly.

Ford last competed at “AMM 6: Edmonton” in March, where he defeated Johnny Davis via technical knockout in the second round. Of his 14 wins, “The Real Deal” has finished his opponent 13 times, for a record of six knockouts and seven submission victories. He holds two notable wins over UFC veteran Pete Spratt.

Looking to continue his current win streak, Ford offers little concern, or respect, for his upcoming opponent.

“All I gotta say is that Nick better step his game up from his last few fights, 'cause I’m on a whole different level than any fighter he’s fought,” he stated. “Everything that I bring to the fight, he won’t be able to handle it. So, bottom line, he ain’t G’d up, so he’s gettin’ beat up.”

Remarkably, Ford challenges Karo Parisyan at "MMA Live 1" on May 19 just prior to his Aggression MMA appearance.

Bringing a wealth of experience of his own, Hinchliffe (18-7) aims to convince the world that he is indeed ready for prime time, and a triumph over Ford would be the first step in doing just that. He fought an impressive six times in 2010, with four wins and two losses in that span. In his last bout, Hinchliffe picked up the majority decision over Ryan Machan at “AFC 5: Judgment Day” this past April.

Originally intended for broadcast on Canada’s The Score Television Network as part of The Score Fighting Series, scheduling conflicts proved insurmountable. Despite that setback, Aggression co-owner, Moin Mirza, decided that the show must go on.

“We could have taken the low road and postponed our event until the fall, but we felt we had an obligation to our fans and loyal fighters to follow up our last event with an even more entertaining card,” said Mirza. “We are confident that ‘Confrontation’ is going to be an incredible event.”

Additional fighters scheduled to compete include Muay Thai Champion Shane “Shaolin” Campbell (4-1), submission artist Luke Harris (6-1), Jason Gorny (4-4), UFC veteran Victor “The Matrix” Valamaki (16-8), Steve Beaumont (2-0), and ex-Canadian Football League star Rio Wells (4-1). Another Muay Thai champion, Levi Krupe is expected to make his MMA debut.
