UFC 102 Reported Salaries / Medical Suspensions
posted by J. Andrew Yount
With the UFC 102 now in the books, with a record setting knockout, a knock out of the year candidate, and another fight of the year candidate, the numbers from the pay-per-view event have been released. The Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon reportedly saw an attendance of over 16,000 for $1.92 million in gate revenue. The lineup included several fighters with ties to the area, including the legendary Randy Couture. Oddly enough, Todd Duffee, who now holds the record for fastest knockout in UFC history, did not win the $60,000 fight night bonus. That honor was bestowed on Nate Marquardt’s highlight reel KO of the previously undefeated Demian Maia.
