UFC 105 & 106 Details Made Official
posted by J. Andrew Yount
UFC officials have finally made the next two UFC events official. The first, UFC 105, will be making a return to England on November 14 from the M.E.N. Arena. While just a week later, on November 21, UFC 106 is expected to be held from Las Vegas, Nevada. While neither card has had any bouts officially added the cards are already filling up with proposed or previously agreed-upon match ups.
It is expect that Michael ‘The Count’ Bisping will be making his return to the Octagon as one of the marquee attractions for the event in his native England. The former Ultimate Fighter winner was last seen on the receiving end of a highlight reel knockout from former Pride champion Dan Henderson at UFC 100. Bisping will be taking on international star Denis Kang as one of the co-main events of the evening. Dan Hardy is also expected to be taking on rising welterweight Dong Hyun Kim.
Tickets for UFC 105 are set to go on sale Monday, September 14 at 10 am in England, with a special UFC Fight Club opening September 10 at 10am. The event is expected to be a free event in the U.S. as the broadcast will be tape delayed. Television details have yet to be released, however.
UFC 106 will be the first event back in UFC’s home of Las Vegas, Nevada since UFC 100. They will also be returning to the Mandalay Bay Events Center, site of UFC 100. Tickets for this event will go on sale to the public on September 19 at 12 pm PT. No bouts have been officially announced for the cards, however it is expected that a UFC 106 will mark the return of Tito ‘The Hunting Beach Bad Boy’ Ortiz against Mark Coleman, and a heavyweight championship bout between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin.
